So, you all know that this community is affiliated with the Forbidden Love Forum. Basically, this community acts as another way for us to get together. We admin, are horrid at remembering to update the community however, so coming by the forum is usually a really smart idea.

We decided to take things another step further. We thought it would be awesome to have a Facebook page where we can post links to new topics for us to discuss. You don't have to be a member of the forum to like the page, but it would probably help since so much of the content on the page will be related to the forum.

Fic: The Culinary Spy

Wrote a small fluff fic recently. It is the first fic I have written in about 4 years. It's really simple, but I am pretty proud of it nonetheless.

Summary: Robin observes Raven as she completes a mundane task, learning things about her and himself that he was not aware of. Fluff piece. No set time line, but pre-Haunted I would think.

DC Nation - New Teen Titans shorts

I have been posting discussion posts for these shorts over at Forbidden Love for weeks now as they air. I've been finding the shorts, uploading them to my personal youtube account, and then posting them there for us to chat about. I don't know why I didn't think to post them here as well.

Cartoon Network's Robin/Raven Bumpers

Back in 2004, Cartoon Network did a series of Teen Titan-related bumpers. The most noteworthy, of course, is the Robin/Raven movie date. Said bumper is now available for fans to re-view and recall, via the embedded YouTube video in the cut below. While there are prior copies, it should be noted that Moonrise recently saved them and uploaded them onto her YT channel for our permanent pleasure. As such, give her multiple kudos or "thank yous" when commenting.

Modern Comic Dick/Raven/Tim Discussion

Much has been added to the respective comic canons of Dick Grayson, Tim Drake and Raven, since the comm was created in 2004. Grayson adopted the Batman identity for a few years and recently resumed his Nightwing identity, Drake forged his own as Red Robin and Raven finally decided her feelings toward Beast Boy (which may or may not be addressed in DC's "New 52" revamp).* Because of such developments, current Robin/Raven or Raven shipper opinion may have changed in the process.

The entry is an Open Discussion of either pairing in a contemporary sense, be it Dick/Raven, Tim/Raven or, for the sake of comic canon and fairness, Garfield/Raven. Discuss and explain the potential and possibilities in light of new or updated characterization and plot events (e.g., "Flashpoint," "New 52"). You may also discuss on whether your opinion has switched or is switching from one male lead to another. As always, mind and respect others' shipper-based opinions, which may be counter to yours.

Season One's lack of Robin/Raven bonding

In the animated series' first season, there were several episodes where Raven bonded or developed actual friendships with her fellow Titans. "Switched" had done so with Starfire, "Nevermore" with Cyborg and Beast Boy, plus 'Car Trouble" as a follow-up with Cyborg. Whatever the reason, there was never a similar episode involving her and Robin. (Technically, one could count "Apprentice Part 2," except it was more of a group effort on the Titans' part.) In which case, why the omission with Robin?

It is highly feasible that the writers simply had other priorities, as per the building of the series mythos and Season 1's Slade arc. In fairness, the writers would eventually correct the matter in subsequent seasons (Season 4, and Season 3, to a lesser extent). Whether said omission was an unintentional oversight, or not, is and continues to be a valid question.

The entry is for fan speculation purposes only (or until the writers or the producers address the subject). Put forth your own theory as to why Season 1 didn't explore the possibility for whatever reason. My analysis/commentary/opining will be on forthcoming Comments.
