Talked about this in my R/R forum.
http://s8.invisionfree.com/forbiddenlove/index.php?showtopic=27Decided to bring this over here.
During the passage of time, perceptive changes and you see how some pairings have a similar theme to them. The darkness, the brooding, the parent issues, or maybe one can heal the other and both be happy.
Here are mine.
One)Scott/Rogue (X-Men Evo)
Scott is the perfect, handsome hero but has a dark past. He lost his parents as well, so he has that orphan complex. Yet he does have that ability to trust, like Dick does. Rogue is the antisocial goth girl who feels her powers are a curse and also has parent issues(her step-mother) and doesn't believe in trusting in anyone. It's what drove me to like the birds really. It's perfect. Kismet.
Two)Giovanni/Sabrina (Pokemon Special or Adventures manga).
Normally they don't interact at any format but the Special manga shows Rina having interest in the Boss Rocket (as an utterance too). And combined with their anime pasts, makes an interesting pairing.
Giovanni has issues with his mother who made him who he is (Like Batman did with Dick) and he has a double life: split into being the Viridian Gym Leader and Boss of Team Rocket. He's usually stuck being the Boss or the greatest Gym Leader rather than be just Giovanni.
Sabrina has high level psychic powers, doesn't show emotion in normal conversion (only in the battlefield) and the other Gym Leaders fear her for her powers and stoicism. Like Raven, she has issues with her father (she inherited her powers from him) and like Raven with her mirror, Rina has a outlet for her mind: A doll as an extension of her younger self before she lost control. I double took when Rina admitted that in the manga since either one you don't see with anyone (maybe Gio and Domino but that's...offputting a little bit because of the Black Tulip's age.). Too bad it didn't pan out but that's why there is fanfiction.
Three)Richard/Caroline (Caroline in the City)
Since most of you were quite young when this came out, I'll summarize. It's a NBC sitcom in the late 90's detailing the life of a Wisconsin cartoonist living in New York. She had a acerbic, gothic, starving artist for an assistant named Richard. There was sexual tension from the get go and then they finally got together and the series kinda petered out after that.
Anyway, Caroline had this really pure and naive image and Richard have this super sarcastic, antisocial image. Richard and Raven would be definite penpals, and Robin (All of them but Dick, mostly) does have some of Caroline's naivete but his is not so obvious. Still I think of them to the Birds. Not as obvious as the first two but it still should have some mention.
Those are my pairings, take them or leave them.
So what are your choices and why?
