I'm procrastinating and I thought to share a random icon I made after watching 'Crash'...it's just Raven this time but I will have more Robin x Raven ones soon though...I think.

Since today is the one year anniversary of “Haunted” and thus the first real ship exploration/explosion of Robin/Raven, proving to the fans that we were in the right from the start, I want to venture a theory at which I’m sure you’ll all hoot. This only covers a specific timeframe, be aware of your reflections.

At the end of your first viewing of the episode in question (and barring outside opinion/spoilers), what were your thoughts of the R/R ship and its validity at that point in time or conversely prior the episode or even perhaps during the episode itself? Were you constantly finding hints in the subtext of the prior episodes and nuance or you were passive and wait and see and focus on the context or out and out gave up? Now in the episode itself, were you excited by the possibilities of Raven being inside of his mind, did you think of ship or did you think of long awaited interaction or just glossed over it and waited to see if this would be continuity?

My impressions were on, I admit I was looking for some subtext and nuance (particularly my jumping point of season two) but I knew I would be dashed but I would work through the subtext. I was coming off X-Men Evo, where my ship (Scott/Rogue) actually had something to grasp on and thought the same here. Or some form of interaction but I was halted but still, if something happened, work on that, such as the dialogue in “Terra” and the moment in “Titan Rising” with his concern.

But in season three, something changed, while “Deception” maintained the life saving line of thought in “Aftershock”, “Crash” was the big hint. Dick’s subtle glance and her instant understanding meant a form of subtext was hiding within the silliness and showed a form of subtle interaction. Complete with the life saving, which started this line of thought as I noticed the form of grace Raven had in saving the Boy Blunder’s life was normally lacking in life saving measures of the show. That cornucopia completed quite the theory I had and knew something was going to give, something had to happen.

Just didn’t realize how soon with “Haunted” as I geared for another twist of the Slade arc. Double my pleasure as not only Slade would return but how there is a backdoor to the ship and proved all the doubters. And the staff of the R/R message board, Forbidden Love, and I would squee into the night with our songs and pats on the back.

Did you experience such celebration, or were you muted or just indifferent? This is an opinion thread, so no wrong answers; just remember the timeframe. Just capture that moment in time and regale us, and hark back the days where we were scrounging for scraps, before the divinity of the Trigon arc and amuse, amaze, and ascertain for the audience.

I'm new but one has to start somewhere.
Here's good.

As another member of this community has already stated, one year since Haunted.
None of these reflect that episode but they are bird-centric and made for the couple at hand.

The rest are a little less...humorous? I don't know. Follow the cut and see for yourselves if you like. Glad I found this place. Nice to know others dare to imagine outside the canon.
