Ok, so, I've never posted here before. But I was extremely interesting in something I thought about the other day. Do the Rae/Rob shippers who read Harry Potter ship Harry/Hermione?? I would relly like to know what you guys ship and/or think about this.

Yeah. I ship Harry/Hermione, which does have a lot of elements of Robin/Raven. Subtext, understanding of each other, co-dependecy, and partnership.

*de-lurks* I ship Harry/Hermione too! Basically for the reasons that [livejournal.com profile] a_white_rain listed. ^^

I read Harry Potter fan fiction, but I don't read Harry/Hermione. I'm more of a Harry/Draco or Harry/Snape type of person, for no logicial reason. Just like the way both pairings can be written. It just intrigues me.

Yay! Another Slasher like me that happens to like Robin and Raven. ^_^

I'm more of a Ron/Hermione sort of person but hey, whatever floats people's boat. ^_^

What does one have to do with the other?

I am BIG into the HP fandom, but I'm another slash girl. Harry/Draco is my OTP but I read pretty much anything featuring Draco as he's my absolute favoritest! :)

I ship Harry/Hermione, for much of the same reasons I ship Rob/Rae.

Of course, I also ship Harry/Draco and Harry/Cedric but for entirely different reasons. (Can you say eye-candy? Okay, so my reasons for shipping H/D aren't that shallow...but my reasons for shipping H/C are. And I'm damn proud of it, too. ;p)

I go for Harry/Hermione/Ron myself, okay AND Harry/Snape and Hermione/Snape, but I won't say no to good Harry/Hermione fic any day of the week.

Yes, by H/H/R, I mean as a threesome, as in romantic, but well written friendship fics are good too. And the other two are just the other two pairings that I like.

:) Thanks, it's for another trio I like, but sadly the series has gone down the drain and the newest book (out later this month) will decide if I keep reading.

It's the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurel K. Hamilton. The trio is a forced one between Jean-Claude, master vampire of St. Louis, Anita Blake, his human servant, though she wasn't too hot on the idea, and Richard Zeeman, a werewolf and the local pack's alpha wolf. That would be Anita in the middle, JC on the left and Richard on the right.

Yeah, they are, more or less. For violence and sex mostly, I have no idea how old you are, so I really wouldn't know what to say. Except that I started reading them when I was a teenager, around 14 or 15 I think.

I recommend the books up to and including Obsidian Butterfly (like 8 or 9 books). After OB, I think they start to go bad, but to each his own and have fun.

I tend to prefer Rob/Rae friendship or unrequited myself, and I don't read HP fics that have (expanded) trio romances during their school years (though post HBP stuff might change that). Of course, there's nothing wrong with a little unresolved sexual tension;) For future fic though I go for Ron/Hermionie.

I'm open to Harry/Hermione (maybe for the same reason that they have a similar situation there that with friendship and bonding), though my main ship in the Harry Potter fandom is Draco/Hermione.

(And that leads to other OTP's, such as SesKag [IY] and Zutara [Avatar:TLA].)

Sessy and Kagome? Never thought of that, any good? I like Inuyasha/Kagome and Koga/Kagome. I also like Older!Shippo/Kagome, but just a little.

I love the H/HR ship! Actually I also love H/D too... ~_~

What other odd or different ships do I have...? Miaka/Hotohori and Yuki/Tohru are just a few...

Actually, I do not. HarryGinny, RonHermione.

RobinRaven is actually the only OOC pairing I've ever shipped.

SabeObiWan doesn't really count, unless you take into account Siri, so...

Well, I don't really know much about Siri, other than the fact she's a Jedi. I never cared about the SW fandom until this year.

Um, I suppose it's because Robin & Raven easily understand each other and have many elements of their past in common. But they also balance each other out: where Robin is so obsessive with the end goals, Raven tries to be more logical and level-headed (kinda like Siri and ObiWan, or so they say). And given the many times they've faced trials together, I'd like to think they have a closer connection than, say, RavenBB or RavenFlash or RobinStar.

Isn't there an "officially cannon" novel about Siri and ObiWan though? I'd like to read and know more about Siri, but I don't know the title...

I know that series! My brother has one book...where Siri has to flirt with this ugly brute & Obi-Wan just...drools, basically.

This post makes me laugh, mainly because I have always been a very very big Harry/Hermione shipper. I've never really came up with a reason why I like the pair, it was just what I liked by instinct.

As for Raven and Robin I really don't have excuses for why I like them either, I just do.

I'm not big on slash, and especially not Harry/Draco slash. My favourtie slash couple is Sirius/Remus.

Yep, I'm a HP fan. But I'm not a Harry/anyone shipper--I just can't see him as sexual. It bothers me. I don't know why. If I had to, I suppose it would be Harry/Male!Blaise, and Blaise is a girl (correct? I'm out of it...) and Harry is straight. But in general, I really, really do not like shipping Harry with anyone.

With the HP fandom, I honestly have very few ships. I love Remus/Sirius but that's the only one I really cling to. Those who know me will know that I tend to like badwrong!pairings, and with that in mind, Snape/Peter is appealing as is Voldie/Bella.

I used to think that if I were Hermione, I would like neither Harry nor Ron, but post HBP I find it very difficult to like/identify with her whatsoever, so now I'm just falling back on my Harry=asexual hangup.

Hee hee, I do ship H/Hr...hardcore, too. The thought of R/Hr squirks me.

And yes, I do see that there are a lot of similar elements in the H/Hr and Rob/Rae fan pairing.

Also, it seems most of the ships I support are not the ones that "win" in the end, which makes me sad. =(

lol

And no slash for me, thanks.

I'm a HP fanatic but I don't ship H/Hr. Altough I ship R/R, I ship Ron/Hermione and some other pairings(non-slash) from HP. But I agree with [livejournal.com profile] alory_shannon, I also see the similarities between H/Hr and R/R.

H/H is the only HP ship I actively 'ship' for. I'm really a slasher, so my R/R and H/H love is rather strange >.>

I ship H/Hr too, and its funny but I never thought that they would have similiar elements as Raven/Robin. I also ship like a hundred different pairings: Hermione/Draco, Hermione/Bill, Hermione/Charlie, Hermione/Fred or George, Hermione/Lucius, Hermione/Snape, Hermione/Remus, Harry/Luna, Hermione/Cedric, Hermione/Tom Riddle (timeturner fics where he isn't Voldermort), and I think thats it... I have tons of crossover pairings though, lol.
