title: The Geography of Trust (2/?)
fandom; pairing: Teen Titans/DC canon; eventual Robin/Raven
rating: PG-13 for violence and potentially disturbing psychological themes
summary: The Republic is Plato's utopian vision made real, and AEGIS (synonyms: success, elite, specialized; antonyms: failure) is its very own Praetorian Guard. There are shadows amongst all the brightness, however, and rot at the core of all the sweetness. All one has to do is stir a little, and all sorts of interesting things can come bubbling up.

rae00, who is awesome and tolerates my butchering of the English language as she goes through it with her red correction notes. &hearts And, as always,
straitwaistcoat endures all my whinings about plot and muses with her usual amazing patience.
Oh, and this is an AU. Very very AU. You'll see what I mean.
disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans, or Batman. Inspirations drawn from Equilibrium, Witch Hunter Robin, Brave New World, Plato's Republic,, and the Roman Empire. (I'm fairly certain I don't have to disclaim that last one, though I've certainly never owned it, so there you go. Disclaimed.)
(Part II: Points of Diversion)
Will I get bricked if I say "the plot thickens"? ... The plot thickens. >D
