Contest Is Now Over.

robin_ravenFirstly, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone for voting! I am really pleased with how many votes we did get... I feel it couldve been more.. But I am happy that we got as many as we did.
I am happy to announce that Icon 5 and Banner One were the winners. It was such a close race. I had the coding set up for Banner two to be the winner for hours and then incredibly banner one shot from 11 votes to 16 making it the winner by a single vote.
I am impressed with the suspence.. though a little uneasy about how the voting turned out. Both graphics that won turned out to be my own and I am very uneasy about this... I just dont like that it happened like that... I dunno.. It makes me feel really bad.. like I didnt give others a chance.... Ya know?
The winning icon has been uploaded to the default spot on the community and the banner will become part of the layout momentarily.
Anyway.. because of this.. the contest rules and proceedures are going to change.
We will be instating a new way of doing contests. From here on out, we will have a monthly contest with a big ticket prize, and bi-weekly contests with smaller ticket prizes.
Monthly contests will be something random.. anything from a graphic contest, to a fic contest, to anything else you could think of. We will pick two winners from the monthly contest. They will each recieve a banner for their user-lookup, showing that they won. The first place winner will also be awarded 2 months of paid livejournal time to their journal. This prize will come out of my pocket.. so if you wish to cover the cost of the contest for any given month, contact me and I will be more than happy to allow you to help.
Bi-Weekly contest will be something less random. Every 1st and 15th of the month, we will have a new contest. Winners will recieve banners for their trouble. We will give voting on these for three days and then winners will have their banners by the 20th or 5th of every month. (mods.. I will ask for your help on making these from time to time.. so post here and let me know if you can do any banners or not.)
Contests will have weekly reminders to participate. There will also be links to the entries to the right as part of the layout.
